Building Official Scholarship: Applications Now Open!

The Building Official Scholarship is designed to support building officials and aspiring code professionals in attending the 2025 NAMBA Building Fire Safety Symposium in Philadelphia, from September 24-25, 2025.

This scholarship provides an excellent opportunity for professionals and students to enhance their expertise in building and fire safety while networking with industry leaders.

Benefits: 

  • Complimentary Full Registration for the NAMBA Symposium
  • 2-Night Hotel Stay at the conference hotel
  • Travel Reimbursement (up to $500)

Eligibility & Selection Process (click to expand)

Two Eligibility Tracks: 

  • Current Building Officials & Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) 
  • Students in Fire Science, Building Codes, or Construction Management Programs 

Selection Criteria:

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Enrolled in one of the above programs or a current building official/inspector. 
  • Demonstrated interest in building/fire safety or code enforcement. 
  • Applicants must submit a copy of their certificate or enrollment verification.

Deadlines:

  • Early Application Deadline: May 15, 2025 
  • Final Application Deadline: June 30, 2025 
  • Recipients Notified By: July 15, 2025
